Dunbia
(Dungannon) is a progressive and growing Northern
Ireland based food company, with 4 sites located
throughout the province. Headquartered at
Granville near Dungannon, we have built our
reputation on quality of service, quality of
product and attention to detail.
We have a large and impressive customer portfolio,
including many of the leading supermarket chains
in the UK and Ireland, along with customers in the
wholesale and further processing sectors. We pride
ourselves on delivering the best possible products
and service, and we have an ongoing commitment to
research and product development in partnership
with our leading customers.
We source the majority of our beef, lamb and pork
raw materials from top quality producers in
Northern Ireland. The company’s facilities in
Dungannon consist of an abattoir, a retail packing
plant and a hide and offal processing plant. The
abattoir has the capacity to process 1500 cattle,
3000 sheep per week and bone 1200 quarters daily.
The state of the art packing facility has a weekly
capacity of 800 tonnes of finished goods
encompassing fresh beef, lamb and pork as well as
value-added products.
Dunbia (Kilbeggan) is located in the heart of the
Irish countryside close to Tullamore, which is the
home of Ireland’s best traditional beef producers.
Dunbia (Kilbeggan) is part of the Dunbia Group, a
business that has established itself as one of the
most proactive and successful meats groups within
the European red meat industry.Ongoing investment
in Dunbia (Kilbeggan) has ensured the continuous
expertise of the plant and guarantees our
customer’s requirements for quality assured beef
are fulfilled. We pride ourselves on the quality
of beef produced at Dunbia (Kilbeggan) and this of
course starts with the cattle supplied. Our
Partnership scheme is based on the Bord Bia Beef
Quality Assurance Scheme, which works on a code of
practice covering issues such as Stockmanship,
Welfare, Nutrition, Use of Veterinary Medicines,
Animal Traceability and Environmental Controls.
Our carcasses benefit from a state of the art
electrical stimulation and chilling regime that
ensures our beef is of the highest standard of
flavour and tenderness. We are proud of the
reputation that Dunbia (Kilbeggan) have built,
through this system of controls, for the quality
of product produced, in particular the export
market developed for our quality beef which has
been due to the attention to detail and product
care these systems have achieved. This Beef
Quality Assurance Scheme aims to build on
confidence to form a partnership between the
farmer, Dunbia (Kilbeggan) and the customer.
DUNBIA (SLANE), our team of skilled and dedicated
people at Dunbia (Slane) we are justly proud of
the quality Irish beef produced at this plant,
based on the long-standing traditions of the Irish
beef industry. Our relationship with our supply
farmers is key to the success of our business and
the development of the Group Partnership Scheme
has helped strengthen and confirm this
relationship.
Dunbia (Llanybydder) is a lamb abattoir and meat
processing business located in Llanybydder, West
Wales. The Company was originally established as a
family business in 1956, and since then has
developed to become one of the leading processors
of lamb in Wales and the UK, employing almost 400
staff and slaughtering almost 1 million lambs
annually.
Dunbia (Llanybydder) joined Dunbia in July 2001,
and since that time has continued to significantly
expand its operations to meet the demand for
superior quality Welsh lamb products in both the
UK and export markets.
Having earned a reputation across Europe as a
reliable source of consistent high quality Welsh
lamb, Dunbia (Llanybydder) prides itself as a
business with its roots firmly embedded in the
heart of the Welsh producing countryside, where
lamb livestock husbandry standards are unsurpassed
anywhere in the World. The business has focused on
developing long term working relationships with
farmers throughout Wales and beyond, and
recognises the value of these partnerships for the
ongoing and long-term success of the industry.
At Dunbia (Llanybydder) we have a highly skilled
team of people who have expertise in the full
supply chain, from animal husbandry and sourcing,
through production, to international sales and
marketing. Our excellent quality raw material and
high levels of customer service, combined with
this high standard of professional expertise,
ensures that we continue to surpass customer
expectations on quality and value.
Dunbia (Sawley) was incorporated in 1983, its
present location is on the A59 on the
Lancashire/Yorkshire border between Clitheroe and
Skipton.
During 1998 the company became part of Dunbia and
began taking advantage of its geographical
location in the heart of the major livestock
producing pastures of the north west of England.
The company established its Green Pastures
Producers Club – A high quality farm assured
partnership with local livestock producers.
Whilst primarily a beef abattoir and beef
de-boning plant producing a range of Primal cuts
we also have facilities to slaughter a high volume
of lambs for sale as chilled carcasses.
We distribute our products throughout the United
Kingdom combining our own transport fleet with
those of a select number of reliable haulage
contractors.
